From World Ocean Day to the Climate Conference COP27

This June, between World Ocean Day and the long-awaited UN Ocean Conference (27 June to Friday 1st July, 2022), there are many opportunities for the growing RISE UP network to raise its collective voice for a Blue Call To Action.

The RISE UP Blue Call To Action, which was initially developed in 2020 for the UN Ocean Conference that was since postponed due to the global pandemic,  urges and inspires decision-makers, and key stakeholders, to agree on a course of action that will give our blue planet the best chance of survival.

Below is a timeline of key engagement opportunities for the RISE UP network to amplify the Blue Call To Action during 2022, the so-called Super Year for the Ocean, in the lead up to the UN Ocean Conference up until the UN Climate Change Conference COP27 at the end of the year.
